Trenton St. Ruston, LA 71270 April 10, 2024 National Federation of the Blind Dr. Jacob Bolotin Award Committee Baltimore, MD 21230 Dear Everette and Esteemed Committee Members: It is my sincere pleasure to submit a letter in support of the White Canes Connect (WCC) podcast, official podcast of the NFB of Pennsylvania. Since its inception in 2021, the goal of the project has been to help blind people learn about resources and connect with other blind professionals and mentors throughout our Federation family. With over 10,000 downloads, the producers strive to dispel misconceptions about blindness and find ways to connect blind people from around the world. Recently, the podcast recorded its 100th episode, a milestone and labor of love. Lisa Bryant, creator, and David Goldstein, executive producer, approach the show with enthusiasm, heart, and creativity. They know what a positive difference the NFB has made in their lives and use this platform to enlighten and motivate members and to reach and encourage others to become involved. They volunteer countless hours to develop, record, and produce episodes and constantly look for ways to spread our positive philosophy about blindness and promote the programs of the NFB. I have had the privilege to work with Lisa and David and appreciate their professionalism, warmth, dedication, and drive! Their work is breaking down barriers and replacing doubt and fear with hope and possibility! I know that it has helped us gain members and strengthen our positive public image.
